We’ve extended the registration cut-off for Creature Creation Using 3ds Max and Mudbox with Jesse Sandifer until Saturday, February 25th. There’s still time to register and learn how to create great-looking creatures using two of the most popular 3d software packages in the industry.

Enrollment for the Creature Creation Using 3ds Max and Mudbox with Jesse Sandifer is still open, but there are only two more days to be eligible for the tuition discount. Until February 15th at 10:00 PM PST tuition will be only $399, which is a savings of $50!
Additionally, the early bird special for Digital Character and Creature Design with Luke Church will be running until February 21 at 10:00 PM PST. This is a special course, because it’s two weeks longer than most of our classes at 10 weeks long, and the discounted tuition will be $499.

David Lam, our instructor for Game Character Pipeline and Intro to ZBrush, has just begun his new career at Bioware (Mass Effect, Star Wars: The Old Republic, Dragon Age) as Associate Art Director. Congratulations Dave, we’re looking forward to seeing your work on Bioware’s upcoming titles!
In related news, there are two days to enroll in the following courses (which includes David Lam’s Game Character Pipeline) for this term:
Registration will be open for these courses until 10:00 PM Pacific Standard Time on January 31st. So there’s still time to enroll for all of you interested.
One last announcement we have is that Intro to ZBrush has been slightly delayed due to scheduling issues with our instructor. The course is still going to run and will not begin on February 24th. This means that the registration period has been extended to February 18th.

Today, we finally make some long-awaited announcements at the Rydan Workshop!
Jesse Sandifer, a veteran in character and creature sculpting, will be joining our staff with a brand new course, “Creature Creation using 3DS Max and Mudbox.” For all you Mudbox creature fiends, this is the course you’ve been waiting for.
This eight-week course is designed to provide students a basic familiarity of the Mudbox environment, and will cover sculpting and painting techniques to create a solid asset to bring over to 3DS Max and create a final image with V-Ray rendering. Like all our classes, the curriculum will be delivered using live demos and direct feedback through painting and modeling upon student work. Homework will be given after each class, and students will be expected to show progress for a weekly review.
